aids ride 2010, mexico city to vienna

aids ride 2008, Toronto to Mexico City,
affiliated with the 17th International AIDS Conference,
Mexico City, 7th June to 3rd Aug 08.

Description: Well, It was an idea discovered when Surya Makarla, Executive Steering Member AIDS Ride 2008 & 2010, happened to live as a guest with the crazy Canadian couple, Ewa and Bart who indeed offered free accommodation to attend the 16th International AIDS Conference, Toronto. Surya learned that these crazy bikers do cross country bike ride for a good beer! We together discovered why not for a cause like HIV/AIDS??? Being that was a big challenge and thrill for us to be ever first time as bikers to bicycle such a freaking inter-Continental ride, except that we were used to bicycle in our grades 7th, 8th, 9th.. shuttling from our home to school!  It was also first time for us to land in United States of America with little acquaintance but rode confidently all along all kinds of routes, lanes of freeways, interstate highways, etc. Of course! cops have had pretty good track on us! . Well, AIDS Ride 2008 biking can create a significant mark of continuity in connectivity of the past 16th International AIDS Conference IAC , Toronto & the 17th IAC, Mexico City. On our way in the towns and cities, we made our possible efforts with the resource available to implement different strategies  like International Peace Tiles, Murals creation, Free Hugs to fight stigma & discrimination, Seminars on HIV/AIDS etc. It was an incredible journey of 52 days (including 8 days rest) covered about 3900 km (excluding approximately 100km due change of plans and routes and sometimes mislead and lost), working on our mission and enjoying the beauty of Canada, USA & Mexico!!!  Please watch for more details at www.bcareindia.org, (Note: www.aidsride2008.org is expired)
